MediTours ("MediTours," "we," "our") is a booking platform that connects patients in the United States with licensed medical providers in Mexico. We are registered in Mexico and operate at meditours.com.mx.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us:

• Contact information: name, email address, phone number
• Medical interest: the type of procedure or consultation you're interested in (not medical records)
• Payment information: processed securely by Stripe; we do not store card numbers
• Communications: messages exchanged through our email relay system

We also collect limited technical data: browser type, IP address, pages visited, and referral source via Plausible Analytics (cookie-free, GDPR-compliant).

3. How We Use Your Information

• To connect you with medical providers based on your stated needs
• To process payments and hold funds in escrow via Stripe
• To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, receipts)
• To improve our platform and measure site performance

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Sharing Your Information

We share limited information with:

• Doctors: your name, contact, and stated procedure interest to facilitate the consultation
• Stripe: payment processing; subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy
• Resend: email delivery; subject to Resend's Privacy Policy
• Supabase: database and authentication infrastructure; data stored in EU West (Ireland)

5. Data Retention

We retain consultation records and payment information for 7 years as required by Mexican accounting law. You may request deletion of your personal information by emailing privacy@meditours.com.mx.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or Mexican LFPDPPP including:

• Right to access the personal data we hold about you
• Right to correction of inaccurate data
• Right to deletion ("right to be forgotten") where applicable
• Right to opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link in any email

7. Medical Disclaimer

MediTours is a booking platform, not a healthcare provider. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. All medical decisions should be made in consultation with qualified medical professionals. Medical tourism involves risks including complications from travel, differences in medical standards, and limited recourse in foreign jurisdictions.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption, Supabase Row Level Security (RLS), and Stripe's PCI-compliant payment processing. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
