What to expect

Natural hairline design, not just graft transplant.

The difference between an obvious transplant and a natural one is hairline design — angles, density gradient, and frontotemporal recession. Our surgeons are ISHRS-certified and have completed advanced training in Madrid, Istanbul, and Los Angeles. Most have 1,500+ procedures of experience.

FUE and DHI use single-graft extraction with sapphire blades (FUE) or the Choi Implanter Pen (DHI). No linear scarring, no donor strip — you can wear your hair as short as #2 clipper on the sides afterward.

Medical advisory: Hair transplant results depend on donor density, Norwood pattern, and post-op care. Most patients see early shedding before regrowth begins (months 3-4). Final results are visible at month 9-12. MediTours facilitates consultations but does not provide medical advice.

Hair restoration FAQ

Questions about hair transplants abroad

What is the difference between FUE and DHI?
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) extracts individual grafts from the donor area and implants them into pre-opened recipient channels. DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) uses a Choi Implanter Pen to extract and place grafts in one step, allowing denser packing and shorter healing. DHI is more expensive but gives more natural results for hairline reconstruction.
Will my transplant look natural?
Yes — our surgeons design hairlines based on facial proportions, age, and ethnicity. Grafts are placed at 35-45 degree angles to match your natural growth pattern. ISHRS-certified surgeons average 50-65 grafts per square centimeter, which produces the density that looks natural in any lighting.
How many grafts do I need?
Norwood 2-3 (thinning hairline): 1,500-2,000 grafts. Norwood 4-5 (advanced thinning + crown): 2,500-3,500 grafts. Norwood 6-7 (complete pattern): 4,000+ grafts, may require 2 sessions. Your surgeon evaluates donor density and recipient area during your free video consultation.
How long does recovery take?
Day 1-3: minor swelling, scabs form on recipient area. Day 7: scabs fall off, transplanted hair sheds (normal — the follicles are dormant, not lost). Month 3-4: new growth begins. Month 9-12: full results visible. You can return to work in 5-7 days; intense exercise after 3 weeks.
Is the donor area visible afterward?
FUE leaves tiny circular scars (<1mm each) at the donor area that are virtually invisible once hair grows back to even 3-4mm length. DHI is similar. Unlike older FUT (strip) techniques, no linear scar is created — you can wear your hair short on the sides without visible donor marks.
